THE BIG SLOW DOWN

On Thursday February 26th Mercury moves retrograde at 22° Pisces until March 20th, the day of the Aries Equinox, when it moves forwards at 8° Pisces.

Added to the Sun, Venus and the North Node in Pisces, we could have a big yearning to pull inwards, to be quiet, still, meditative, or be spending more time in nature. This is a period with a planetary emphasis in Pisces where we feel our intuition and our dreams are becoming deeper and richer. As the world gets wilder, faster and crazier on the outside with constant shocks and surprises, many of us are feeling the need for the BIG SLOW DOWN. Just to spend time with yourself in quiet contemplation.

This is exactly what the astrology is encouraging us to do. The hard work is over; feel that you are now in a period of receiving. Notice your dreams more, listen to the birds, and tune into nature more deeply than ever before. Feel part of that Oneness. Feel that you are flowing with all that is, and that in staying quiet more will come to you in inspiration and synchronicities.

When we are in a state of heart coherence in this way, we don’t have to effort or push to get where we need to be. What we want to attract into our lives seems to more easily find us. The right people, the right information and opportunities just seem to turn up for you, as you are magnetising them towards you on the same frequency of loving coherence.

I believe we will learn that everything in our world operates by magnetic resonance, even astrology itself. But for now, just relax into the BIG SLOW DOWN and allow your intuition to guide you rather than your mental function. This will increasingly become your navigational tool, operating from your heart.

This sense of peace and calm will be important this week as we move towards the Mars-Uranus square at 27° Aquarius-Taurus on Friday 27th. This is spikey, impulsive, feisty, combustible and explosive potentially. It can fuel revolutionary behaviour, and reveal shocking truth which will stimulate awakening. There are some important discussions happening this week between the US and Iran.

This square will aspect some important planets in the charts of world leaders, so here we are looking at the final degrees of the Fixed signs. The US President has his Mars at 26° Leo, the French President has his Midheaven (status, career) at 29° Scorpio, the Israeli Prime Minister has his Mars at 26° Leo, Mark Rutte, who is NATO Secretary General, has his Midheaven at 28° Taurus. Quite a line up being aspected by this assertive square.

For Iran, using the chart set for February 1st 1979 9.33 Tehran, the upcoming Total Lunar eclipse at 12°54′ Virgo, signifying culmination, closure, completion is conjunct the country’s Saturn at 12°39′ Virgo, the Midheaven ruler. Something pivotal may happen to the leadership or government during this Eclipse period, and of course the influence of this Eclipse extends to 6 months beyond this.

All in all, we are likely to see some dramatic geopolitical moves in our outer world, so let us join hands and hearts even more closely in our BIG SLOW DOWN to send love, peace and compassion to all who are suffering. Working energetically in numbers like this is one of the most powerful things we can do, whilst holding the vision of a much more loving world.
