Welcome to the July newsletter, and here are some highlights of manifestations of planetary patterns for June: I post these as it is insightful and educational for us to see how astrology is constantly manifesting in the world in many different ways, weaving a tapestry with its constantly changing symbolism over time. Ultimately I hope this will serve as a historical record.

June Review

June 7th: Apparently 85% of Mexico is in an extreme drought situation with 

85% of the national territory presenting drought conditions, the dams of the Cutzamala System have only one third of their capacity and there is a risk that one of the country’s main freshwater bodies, Lake Cuitzeo in Michoacán will disappear.  It’s the worst drought in 30 years. Uranus in Taurus represents extreme weather and Earth events. 

June 7th: A very deep 6.5 magnitude earthquake hits Brazil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eHiTSYzFIw. Uranus planet of earthquakes is still on the World Axis.

June 9th: A lot of Hunter Biden’s dirty laundry is being spilled via the UK Daily Mail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/hunter-biden/index.html. This newspaper is very much part of mainstream media so this is surprising. Remember that President Biden had the Total Lunar Eclipse of mid-May on his Sun, and this is a process not a pinpoint, and can create an ‘eclipsing’ of someone. We will see what unfolds. I support no political candidate in any country, I am simply observing the astrology.

Therefore I think that this issue could be a key ingredient in the US Pluto return happening this year which will redefine who the US is as a country. The reason this is important is whatever happens there is likely to ripple across the rest of the world and affect us all, see link. Here is another article on this subject: see link. 

June 13th: Turbulence in the crypto market was expected at this time with Venus (currencies) conjunct Uranus (radical sudden changes) in Taurus (value). That is exactly what has happened today: see link. Bitcoin has now fallen 71% from its high, Ethereum is down 79% and Terra Luna has lost 96% (ouch!) from its high. These are hammering declines. In stock markets, the Dow Jones and S & P are down to their lowest levels since December 2020. Volatility in markets of all kinds is likely to continue this year and is likely to become more marked in September and October. 

June 14th: Today we have the Full SuperMoon in Sagittarius, and this is often when extreme Earth events occur as the Moon is at one of its closest points to the Earth. It is also angular over the US – and there has been massive flash flooding in Yellowstone Park with many evacuated. Luckily I believe everyone is safe now: see link. 

June 20th: With the Nodal Axis in Taurus and Scorpio until next July, we expect to see a great deal of financial and economic turbulence during this time, especially as Uranus, the planet of radical sudden change, is already within 3° of the North Node in Taurus. It will be exact on August 1st, but is clearly already being felt. The Dow Jones has fallen for 11 straight weeks out of the last 12, something unprecedented, although 1929 was close at 10 out of 11. US Treasuries are having their biggest collapse since the 1970s and the crypto market is down two-thirds from its high. Much more to come on this. As predicted in my January 3rd Jupiter conjunct Neptune video, inflation will be running extremely high this year – and we are seeing that globally.

June 25th: In the last couple of videos I’ve spoken about the potential Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision, as at the Full SuperMoon in Sagittarius (sign of freedoms) on the 14-15th June, Black Moon Lilith was at the World Axis (potential for that issue to become public in a major way) at 1° Cancer, sign of motherhood. It was squared by Jupiter in Aries, expanding the emotion – possibly angrily for some – around that decision. 

Then at the New Moon in Cancer on the 28th June, Black Moon Lilith is conjunct the Sun and Moon, again highlighting issues around motherhood, babies, and pregnancy. Not only is BML in the sign of motherhood but it also spends 9 months in each sign, the period of human gestation. She is linked to the Indian goddess Kali, and society’s deepest darkest secrets.

Today with the overturn of Roe vs Wade by the Supreme Court yesterday, potentially now 18 US states have made abortion illegal. Therefore I think that this issue could be a key ingredient in the US Pluto return happening this year which will redefine who the US is as a country. This a strongly emotional issue (Cancer) whichever way you feel about it.  The symbolism around BML is wild, feminine, instinctive and utterly uncompromising, and she shares all of these characteristics with Eris.

Remember also that gun laws to protect the 2nd Amendment in the US to own and bear arms were strengthened this week, with warrior Mars in Aries strengthened by being out-of-bounds, giving it a potentially excessive or out-of-control expression.

June 26th: It has been discovered that Prince Charles was receiving cash payments in a suitcase (?) that totalled 3 million euros. This seems a highly unorthodox method for the British heir to the throne to be receiving funds. Remember that the Royal Family is a Capricorn establishment, the Queen has a Capricorn Ascendant, they are a very traditional top-down structure, and Pluto is grinding its way through the last few degrees of Capricorn excavating and revealing any corruption.

Prince Charles currently has the transiting South Node (past actions) conjunct his Sun at 22° Scorpio, his chart ruler (Leo Ascendant) of kingship. Solar Arc Pluto is aspecting his Moon, ruler of his 12th house which can symbolise self-undoing and brings much intense emotion, and transiting Chiron is conjunct his Midheaven, which can suggest the wounding of his reputation and status. 

July 2022

July is going to be a hot, fast-moving month of extremes. By ‘hot’ this could reflect the temperature in some countries, even some fires, but it is very likely to be hot behaviourally.

The month begins with the aspect that was building at the end of June, the conjunction of Mars to Eris at 25° Aries square to Pluto at 27° Capricorn. Aries represents the sign of the individual, of independence, and Eris there for the long term is demanding that everyone is heard, no-one is excluded from society. The fiesty street fighter energised by Mars clashes even more forcefully here with Pluto in Capricorn, top-down (and therefore unequal) structures such as governments trying to expand control and power. This suggests major issues around power, and a ‘might makes right’ approach by governments. It is strong, forceful, yang and dynamic energy which will be clear to witness either in your own life or on the world stage.

This Mars/Eris/Pluto square is operational from the 1st-4th July and note that Mars is on the anaretic degree (29° Aries) on the 4th. This is when we may see some impulsivity and aggression expressed in the world – or you may experience it in your own life. Personally if you have any planets between 25° and 28° of the Cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, you may well be feeling intensity in some area of your life.

Although Mars moves out of its own warrior sign of Aries on the 5th, any peace will likely be short-lived as on the 7th the Moon in Libra forms a T-square with Eris and Pluto, highlighting this individual vs state again, and on the 8th the Moon in Scorpio comes to oppose Mars in Taurus. Remember that the much bigger picture here is the US Pluto return that only happens every 246-248 years and this is the first time it has happened since the current US was formed at the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Transiting Pluto comes to exactly conjunct US Pluto again for the second time at 27°32’ on 12th July so any of these transits may manifest particularly in that country. 

Both with US Pluto being the second house of the country’s economy and economic status, and the Nodal Axis being in Taurus and Scorpio which are both linked to currencies, banking and finance. Uranus remains in Taurus until 2026 suggesting radical changes in these areas, and all of this astrologically is linked to the Russian President this week announcing a new blockchain digital (Uranus) currency (Taurus) as part of a BRICS group of countries including Russia, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others – to challenge the might of the US dollar as the global reserve currency, which would fit with the symbolism of the US Pluto return in the second house of the country’s economy. We are entering a fast moving and dynamic period of change. This could initiate a massive geopolitical shift.

I have talked and written at length about how this is a massive spiritual revolution for the US, which will ripple across the economy, politics, the constitution, their values, and all the systems and even states that make up the US. The people must now decide ‘what do we want this country to be?’ as US Pluto falls in the second house of the country’s values. This may even affect the states that make up the US; currently I understand that there is talk of Texas wanting to secede from the union, and expect such movements to grow, so the US in a few years could be a very different geography.

Then we have the closest Full SuperMoon of the year at 21°21’ Capricorn, happening on July 13th at 11.37am PST and 7.37pm UK time. See where this falls in your chart as it will represent some kind of culmination, completion, or closure in that area of life (house) for you.

As this is the closest Full SuperMoon of the year the Moon will look much bigger and brighter, and will also have a much greater pull on the Earth’s tectonic plates, but also on our psyches. This may trigger some significant seismic activity, especially when taking the very important triple conjunction of Mars, Uranus and the North Node that happens just two weeks later which I discuss below – but potentially is also destabilising seismically.

The Full SuperMoon by astrocartography is angular (ie more powerful) across east India, Russia, Africa, western China, central states of the US and Canada, and eastern Mexico. Some of these geographies may come into the news around this time.

Of note, this Full SuperMoon is within 26’ of the pivotal conjunction of Saturn and Pluto on 12th January 2020 which was at 22°45′, which signalled the beginning of the pandemic and the extreme control, rules and regulations that ensued. So it is shining a light on that whole episode over the last two and a half years. Pluto represents power, and in Capricorn, governmental and institutional power. So a bright light is being shone on that, and Full Moons tend to reveal things that were not so visible before. How has that power been used? Is this suggesting an attempted repeat of early 2020 with power over the people? Or is this signalling the end of that particular episode, in fact the beginning of a major surge the power OF the people, especially taking into account the very rebellious Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction at the end of the month?

Feelings will certainly be intense around these issues of power, as Full Moons tend the bring feelings to a head, but a pushback energy is building strongly at this time in the form of the triple conjunction of Mars, Uranus and the North Node. Whenever you have hard aspects between Mars and Uranus there is a strong, urgent need for freedom, individually and collectively.

In addition, at the Full SuperMoon the Moon at 21° Capricorn is trine to Uranus and the North Node at 18° and 20° of Taurus respectively, suggesting that people are already inventing new ideas and systems to give them more freedom from governmental control, especially via linking in communities (Uranus). This is happening at remarkable speed.

The Sun is conjunct Ceres, goddess of harvests and agriculture at 25°34’ Cancer, but they are being squared by Eris in Aries which is exact to the degree in this square. Does this suggest that we could see some food (Ceres) protests or riots (Eris) such as we are seeing in Sri Lanka now, and this theme longer term is reinforced by Uranus (disruptions) in Taurus (food and natural resources) until 2024. I believe that any food shortages will generally not be extended, rather short term disruptions, but as I’ve been saying since January 2020 I’d suggest that you have extra supplies of food that you love to eat so there will be no panic for you.

There is some finer ‘yin’ energy at play here too, as Neptune at 25° Pisces is square to Venus at 25° Gemini, and this can bring beauty, creativity and aesthetics to the fore, and for writers could produce particularly beautiful words. It can also manifest less positively as more disinformation to obscure many truths that may be emerging this month. Neptune is in a positive trine to the Sun and Ceres at 21° and 25° Cancer respectively, sign of nurturing and nourishment. This is suggesting that there is a yearning to not only have a more spiritual context to our lives but particularly our food growing. There are some remarkable spiritual communities around the world such as Findhorn in Scotland that have transformed the fertility of poor quality soil to produce magnificent vegetables by sending love to the whole seeding and growing process. 

Even by mid July we will be feeling the energy building strongly of the Mars/Uranus/North Node triple conjunction at 18° Taurus. This is eruptive, explosive and rebellious energy and is exact on July 31st and August 1st. This will give us a glimpse of the last exact square by degree of Saturn and Uranus in October, and how that is likely to manifest. Both Mars and Uranus are linked to speed and urgency, so things are likely to unfold very quickly over this period. The urge for freedom will be high on the list of demands here – perhaps particularly in light of the recent Full SuperMoon in Capricorn, sign of government. See which house (area of life) this falls in in your chart, as that area of life is likely to be very energised over this period. Uranus stays in Taurus until 2026 and will shake up anything which has become stale and routine for you there. This conjunction for some will rattle their sense of security.

This can potentially manifest in so many ways. It is likely to be a volatile and chaotic period, but for many a very exciting one. The obvious manifestation especially in light of the still influential Full SuperMoon is seismic activity; earthquakes, volcanoes, but also extreme Earth and weather events of various kinds. This is also suggested by Sedna being at the anaretic degree of Taurus at 29°49’, as Taurus represents Fixed Earth and the anaretic degree tends to operate in extremes. The geomagnetics are likely to be even more unstable at this time, but remember that the photonic light, coronal mass ejections and M and X class flares are all bringing in ‘new information’ for us from distant galaxies to help us evolve. We may again see some disruptions in food supply lines and production, but at the same time new technologies for growing food, and also many people deciding to go back to the simple (Taurus) organic methods of growing food for themselves.

We may well feel that our energy is ‘wired’ at this time, and many shocking truths and revelations are probable at this time, suggesting a major wave of awakening for many. With the surges of new energy, many of us will also be experiencing quantum leaps in our consciousness in this fast track evolution that we are on. New technologies (Uranus) to help to heal the body (Taurus) are already appearing and becoming publicly available and these in turn can help jump us to higher levels of frequency too. These may use or balance the body’s electrical system (Uranus) and meridians as a way of healing. 

Our old systems of security, job for life, home for life, may well be suddenly shaken at this time, and we will be redefining what security means for us. This will be a stronger sense of inner security, but also finding it via like-minded others in community, a huge theme for the increased Aquarian energy in 2023 and beyond. Uranus in Taurus itself is a symbol for New (Uranus) Earth (Taurus).

This powerful aspect may encourage more self-employment and a rethinking of success. In the past we may have defined this by title or income, or speed of climb in an organisation, now it is about your CONTRIBUTION to the greater good (Uranus). Are you still focused on service to self, or have you already shifted to service to others? This simple question will define so much about your worldview and future trajectory – as well as your frequency. Think deeply about that question if you have not already. 

Through this rapid and turbulent period which will set us up for all that follows in 2022 and beyond, stay in peace. We will see much colour and drama in the outer world, but your power only comes from being able to access the present moment and drop into your centre, find bliss. I have said many times that we need to live from the inside out and not the outside in, as that is how we find our power, our peace and our mastery. Do not have your outer reality determine your inner state – you determine your inner state first, then DOMINATE your reality with that frequency of centre, anchor and peace. This is greatly help the collective through this white-water rafting period too.

Thanks to the wonderful Vedic astrologer Joni Patry for pointing this out too:  Uranus comes to conjunct the North Node every 75 years, but this conjunction last happened in Taurus in 1855 at 14° Taurus, only 4° away from where it will be at the end of the month.

At this time in March 1855, there was a contested election in Kansas (known as the ‘contested election’!), as some Missouri residents had voted in the election, and this was quite critical, as the issue was would Kansas enter the US Union of the time as a free or slave state? There was much fraudulent voting at this time and that lead to a lot of violence. This issue of course was a key ingredient for the US Civil War, whether slavery should continue. You can read about it here: https://civilwaronthewesternborder.org/blog/contested-election-1855. I find this absolutely fascinating in the context of the US Pluto return too. It will be interesting to see what unfolds at this time, as we are also seeing the set-up here for the final (by degree) square between Saturn and Uranus that has dominated 2021 and this year too. It crescendos in October at 18° Aquarius-Taurus, and represents the past vs the future, control vs freedom, rules and regulations vs leaping forwards to a more decentralised, grassroots up, community based and even galactic future. That is the exciting part that will become more evident in 2023 and beyond.

By July 17th, Pluto is opposing goddess of harvests and grains Ceres and Mercury both at 27°24’ Cancer, suggesting there may be more governmental control over food supplies in some areas, together with some strong words being exchanged on this subject. Will ‘control’ represent restrictions? There is certainly likely to be a lot of discussion about this issue with people, especially as Mercury and Ceres are in Cancer, the sign connected to nurturing and feeding people, protecting our family and those we love. Within hours the Moon enters Aries, suggesting some hot feelings on this issue.

By July 19th, Chiron stations retrograde at 16°26’ Aries, with the Moon conjunct it. This is very much highlighting both sickness in society, and the potential to heal it. We also have Pluto opposing the Sun that day at 27°21’ Cancer, bringing up the issue of the power of governmental rules and regulations around any sickness and healing tools. What will be allowed? We may be feeling sensitive and vulnerable that day too. However by the 20th the mood changes as the Moon in Aries comes to conjunct Eris and and square Pluto, reigniting the Eris-Pluto square that I wrote about at the beginning of the July section of this newsletter. Pluto will also be squaring Ceres that day too; so the individual vs the state comes up again as a major theme.

By July 21st, Eris stations retrograde at 25°01’ and remember that the symbolism of any planet changing direction will be highlighted for a few days either side of this. There will be a stronger feeling in society that everyone must be heard, no-one excluded, everyone has a voice. These rebellious feelings are likely to build with a conjunction between the Moon and Mars that day, then a few hours later the Moon conjunct Uranus, the planet of rebellion and revolution – and equality.

Please note that through the second half of July we will have an increasing feeling of rebellious energy building as we head towards the rare triple conjunction between Mars, Uranus and the North Node at 18° Taurus, exact on July 31st and August 1st. It’s important that we all cultivate inner peace during this time as the energy will be hot and dynamic, and not very stable.

Then on July 27th, just a few hours before the New Moon in Leo, Jupiter becomes stationary retrograde too at 8°43’ Aries. It will continue to retrograde until November 23rd, re-entering Pisces on October 28th. During this retrograde period we are likely to be reviewing our beliefs, what we trust, especially as Mercury is squaring Uranus and the Nodal Axis at this time. Uranus represents truth and awakening, and the South Node in Scorpio has the potential as our collective past to represent where trust has been violated, even betrayal. So we will be thinking very deeply about what is the truth at this time.

Then we have a New Moon at 5°38’ Leo on July 28th at 10.54am PST and 6.54pm UK time. Don’t forget to set a new intention for what new beginning you want to bring into your life, depending on the house area where this falls in your chart. 

We have 6 planets in Fixed signs here, with the Sun, Moon and Mercury in Leo, Mars and Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn in Aquarius, so views are likely to be very entrenched and at cross-purposes to others, it may be hard to see others’ points of view. Try to go beyond this polarity and division and know that our destination is unity consciousness, try to move beyond the kind of division which has gone on for many hundreds of years that keeps us in the hamster wheel of non-change.

The Sun and Moon are closely conjunct Ceres here at 2°14’ Leo, and Jupiter at 8°43’ Aries, especially as it is stationary, is expanding any issue around food supply issues. 

Be aware that you have to incorporate all that I have described earlier in this newsletter about the Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction into the energy of this New Moon. It will be hot behaviourally in the 3D world, and dramatic.

However there is also the potential here for great optimism and creativity. Leo is about ‘letting your light shine’ and the trine from Jupiter brings in optimism, hope and expansion to this. Leo is very much the sign of the individual too, individual self-expression, so see how you can express more of your unique essence at this time.

Leo also represents heart energy and we are moving towards a much more heart-based society built on love. Remarkably Dr Andrew Armour discovered that the heart contains 40,000 brain neutrons which he named ‘the little brain’. We know from the work of HeartMath that the heart sends much more information to the brain than the brain does to the heart, and the electromagnetic energy field of the heart is 5,000 times larger than that of the brain. Get into the habit of imagining that you are breathing in and out through your heart, and slightly extending the out breath as I have described many times, then having a few seconds pause at the end of the exhale. This should quite quickly drop you into peace and bliss the more often you do it. It also helps us to build our intuition, the knowledge of the heart, that truly knows.

From this point on, make your focus your heart and living in love. In my last video update I talked about creating a love revolution. If you don’t think you are seeing that in the world right now, all the more reason to create one. Lock your attention on a Love Revolution as if you are locking onto a docking station, so we can start to say more and more often, #lookwhatlovebuilt.

I am going to post the planetary positions each month. I will not include the Sun and Moon, as they move too quickly, but will post the others so you can work out the transits to your natal chart: 

Mercury – 22° Gemini – 23° Leo
Venus – 10° Gemini – 16° Cancer

Mars – 27° Aries – 17° Taurus
 Jupiter – 7° – 8° Aries, retrograde on the 27th 

Saturn – retrograde all month, 24° – 22° Aquarius 

Uranus – 17° – 18°  Taurus 

Neptune – 25° Pisces, retrograde all month

Pluto –  27° Capricorn all month, retrograde

North Node, always retrograde – 21° – 19° Taurus 

Chiron – 16° Aries, retrograde on 19th
