Protests in China

In the chart for China, transiting Pluto is conjunct the Moon (the people) at 3° Aquarius, and will continue to criss-cross this for the next two years. Indeed, millions of young Chinese are in vigorous protests against the current leadership as this video below explains. The economy is failing and unemployment is extremely high, so the young people are losing hope.

Aquarius is the sign linked to youth, and rebellion. Pluto moving through this sign is acting as a catalyst for these protests.

Next year Pluto begins to transit the Ascendant of China at 5° Aquarius so it will be very interesting to see how the overall identity of the country and its projection of confidence into the world is affected by this.
