Powerful Libra Equinox, entering the Storm

Welcome to the September newsletter, and here are some highlights of manifestations of planetary patterns for August: I post these as it is insightful and educational for us to see how astrology is constantly manifesting in the world in many different ways, weaving a tapestry with its constantly changing symbolism over time. Ultimately I hope this will serve as a historical record.

August Review

August 3rd: Fascinating and very positive discovery of a new species of fungi in the Scottish Highlands: see link. I believe new species of plants and animals will emerge as we shift consciousness into higher dimensions, and Gaia is doing the same.

August 3rd: A group of people in Saskatchewan Canada got together and bought 600 hectares of endangered grasslands on which to grow food, wonderful example of this community Aquarian energy: see link

August 23rd: The arrest of Imran Khan could destabilise democracy in Pakistan: see link. This is exactly the kind of loss of leadership but that results in greater turbulence at the 3D level, all reflecting Pluto moving through the last degrees of Capricorn, square to Eris in Aries, and Saturn square to Uranus.

August 25th: 18° Taurus is so activated now with Uranus drilling down on that degree for weeks, and being squared by Saturn there too, that we should consider the Sabian symbol for 19° Taurus (you always round up to the next degree to read these). This is ‘new land appearing out of the oceans’. Here in Spain with severe drought and water levels dropping drastically, a ‘Spanish Stonehenge’ has appeared that is normally covered by water: see link

Fewer highlights this month as I have felt the need to pull back from the noise of the outer world.

September 2022

We are starting to feel the intensity of the energy build to a higher level again,  as we are entering Eclipse season with Solar and Lunar Eclipses happening in October and November. We are entering that energy right now. The next few months running into the end of the year I continue to see as the crescendo of the year, with many fast-moving events unfolding at the 3D level. There is potentially much unraveling of the old order as truths come to light which can no longer be hidden.

We are also entering more Mutable energy at this time, with the Sun now in Virgo and a Full Moon in Pisces on the 10th. Mutable energy is adaptable and flexible, and we may need these qualities with so much change happening, but it has the potential to be scattered and even confused. This is particularly as Mars stays in Gemini until next March. Although Mars wants to focus, Gemini has the tendency to be distracted and scattered; certainly Mars here is suggesting a huge amount of information coming in at us that we have to process, and it is important that we use our own intuition and discernment (Virgo) in this. I’d suggest not listening to the mainstream view of any facts. Our minds will be hyper-active in the next few months, so find ways to decompress and bring the energy out of the head and into your body, ground yourself regularly. Also find ways to drop into peace and stillness, this will be very important for our well-being.

The two dominant aspects of the squares between Eris in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, and Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus continue to build towards exactitude. Neither of them ‘perfect’ but come very close in late September and October, and I see this as a culmination of energies that have been building since 2020. The themes which I’ve spoken of many times (check out last month’s newsletter for more detail on this) are around the past versus the future, freedom versus control by governments and institutions, and the power of the individual versus the state. The themes are clearly around these issues, globally. They are very hard to miss, anywhere, unless you are only watching the mainstream news as your source of information.

Looking at the detail in September, the Moon on the 1st opposes Uranus then squares Saturn, and on the 6th it squares Eris and conjuncts Pluto, highlighting the themes just described above. On the 10th we have a Full Moon at 17°41’ Pisces at 3am PST and 11am UK time

Here we have 5 planets in Mutable signs, so there is great potential for adaptability but also for confusion, overwhelm (both expressions of Pisces particularly) and a dizzying level of mental input with new facts and information coming in (Mars in Gemini). Pisces is a beautiful energy of unconditional love, compassion, healing, connection to Source and Oneness, and is extremely creative. Tune into your dreams at this time as they are likely to be very instructive, especially as the Moon is conjunct Neptune, ruler of Pisces, at 24° of that sign. So this is a super-dreamy and romantic Moon where it will be easier to enter an altered state, bliss perhaps.

Pisces can in its less positive expression, especially at the culmination of a Full Moon, relate to flooding in certain areas, perhaps suggested also by Jupiter at 5° Aries being conjunct dwarf planet Salacia at 7° Aries, mermaid energy as wife of Neptune. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. However the higher expression of this conjunction would be our increased understanding of creating our future with photonic energy, liquid light, which is what we are doing all the time but up to now with little awareness.

Mars at 11° Gemini is in a wide Mutable T-square to the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces, suggesting that much discernment must be used (Virgo) in our sifting of this information if overwhelm is to be avoided. Drop into your heart and see what that tells you with whatever is coming to the fore right now.

Mars is also trine to Mercury, which is stationary retrograde here at 8°55’ Libra, and is the ruler of Gemini where Mars will stay until next March. So we have some very activated mental energy. Mercury is opposing Jupiter at 5° Aries, and this very positively suggests some big new ideas coming forward for our future. Legal developments may be important with its position in Libra, and that possibility becomes stronger with the New Moon in Libra later in the month, the sign associated with the law. Pisces in its less positive expression can at this Full Moon be experienced as a bring light being shone on anything that is ‘not what it seems’, or secrets, even deception.

Pisces is also linked to altered states which can be very productive for us creatively, but also drugs, drink and pharmaceutical products of all kinds. It is also linked to toxicity and pollution. Light may be shone on these at this time.

What I find fascinating here is that a dwarf planet called Orcus at 14° Virgo is conjunct the Sun. Orcus in myth punished those who have not kept sacred law, who have violated divine oaths, and drags their souls into the underworld. Like Pluto, Orcus exposes any lack of integrity. At another level Orcus only looks forward to create from love. It is linked to new light codes, sacred geometry and healing others with love. The light of the Full Moon is shining brightly on Orcus here.

In addition, a dwarf planet called Teharonhiawako is at 19° Pisces, sandwiched between the Moon and Neptune. He is a creator Iroquois Farmer God in myth descended from the Star People, concerned with providing seeds for future food (particularly interesting here as Saturn is tightly opposing Ceres, goddess of harvests, at 20° Aquarius and 21° Leo). Teharonhiawako is also concerned with our cosmic origins and connecting to Source.

All of the Kuiper Belt Objects that I’ve investigated so far have a sense of the sacred, of respecting spiritual law and the Earth and her rhythms. This is something many people have lost in modern life, so they can help to reconnect us to the divine.

Saturn at 19° Aquarius is in a T-square to the Nodal Axis at 14° Taurus-Scorpio. This can really help us build (Saturn) new social connections (Aquarius) but also new social networks for the long term into our future. This is happening at speed all over the world now, and Saturn will make sure that they are realistic and enduring.

The Sun at 17° Virgo is trine to Uranus and the North Node at 18° and 16° Taurus respectively.  This can bring a sense of urgency to developing our future ideas but also bringing in some original thinking especially where matters of food and agriculture are concerned.

Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all retrograde now, which suggests a major review of ‘going back over’ the information and how the last few months have unfolded for us, and whether it has been for our highest good. Introspection for us all will be particularly productive during this period.

Then we have the Libra Equinox which occurs on September 22nd at 6.04pm PST and 2.04am on the 23rd UK time. This is when the Sun enters Libra, and here it is conjunct Mercury retrograde at 0°29’ Libra. With any retrograde planet there is a sense of ‘going back over’ information to make sure we got the detail right, and in Libra this may suggest some legal developments around this. Whatever emerges at this time may be very important for the world, not only because the Sun and Mercury are opposed by Jupiter which enlarges whatever it aspects, but also as they are conjunct the Super Galactic Centre at 2° Libra. This consists of 30 galaxies including ours that rotate around a massive black hole of huge gravitational force. We are entering an incredibly powerful astrological period for the rest of the year here. The Sun is quindecile (165°) Chiron at 14° Aries, also suggesting that some obsession about health and illness is part of the picture too.

Choice is highlighted at the Libra Equinox. This is because the scales of justice have two clear ends, and which way will be go? Also because we have Mars in Gemini (the Twins) and Neptune in Pisces (fish swimming in opposite directions). This Equinox is highlighting the clear fork in the road that I’ve been talking about for the last two years.

The dominant squares which I mentioned above continue to close their pincer movement. From September 14th to October 11th Saturn in Aquarius will be within a degree of an exact square, and the square between Eris and Pluto becomes tighter in October too. Saturn in Aquarius is also square to the Nodal Axis and this continues until the end of October, suggesting that we are building new social networks and systems for the long term that are practical and realistic.

The square between Saturn and Uranus has many potential meanings. We could see more extreme Earth events, and power and internet (Uranus) may be intermittent at times (Saturn=limitation), possibly as a result of those. Uranus is the planet linked to aviation, so we may see more disruption with flights. Fundamentally this is a battle between the old world and the new, the past and the future, centralisation and decentralisation, control versus freedom. Ultimately Uranus the planet of the future will always win, but this is likely to be quite a grand finale of this cycle.

Feelings are likely to be running high, suggested by Pluto exactly to the degree quincunx the Moon, our emotions, and is also trine to Venus. The aspect to Venus may bring up strong emotions in relationship such as jealousy, possessiveness or even control; or it can manifest in the currency world as some big changes. Hard aspects between Saturn and Uranus are also linked historically to stock market turbulence.

Then we have some very powerful aspects with the Kuiper Belt Objects. Ixion is at 0°48’ Capricorn, squaring the Sun and Mercury. Ixion in myth is known as the ‘lawless brother of Pluto’ who murdered his father-in-law, was given a reprise by Zeus then blotted his copybook again by trying to rape Zeus’s wife. He is utterly lawless and without a moral compass so murder was part of his operating outside social norms and rules. Is that symbolism resonating with you in society right now? However at a higher level of expression he is about finding your own bliss, going your own way outside the mainstream where we devise our own rules and live on our own terms. His archetype about living more simply and freely, and finding a sense of spiritual passion in our lives. I’d like to credit the work of astrologer Alan Clay here at www.dwarfplanetuniversity.com. Both the negative and positive expressions are likely to be playing out in our world at this time – for me that is already very clear to see.

Quaoar is at 5°19’ Capricorn so also square the Sun and Mercury, and therefore drawn into prominence. Quaoar was the Creator God of the Tongva people who were the original inhabitants of the Los Angeles basin. The symbolism is about finding joy after the chaos, indeed that creation comes out of chaos. He realises that we have to find joy, and sing and dance our way to higher frequencies before we set our intentions for manifestation and in this way create a better world.

Dwarf planet Altjira at 18°30’ Gemini is conjunct Mars at 17°04’, and is linked to the Arrente Aboriginal people who followed the ancient songlines and the ‘Big Dreaming’ to make the unmanifest manifest. Mars energises this principle.

Reinforcing that, Jupiter and dwarf planets Salacia and Manwe are in a triple conjunction at 4°11’, 7°43’ and 0°34’ Aries. Salacia is mermaid energy linked to the iridescent sparkling of sunlight and moonlight on the sea, to me she is liquid light, linked to the powerful bright white photonic light we have surging onto the Earth right now. Manwe in myth with his wife Varda (see Tolkien’s work Simarillion) created the cosmos, and his is the highest archangel closest to the mind of God, the highest intelligence of Divine Source.  He is dedicated to Light overcoming Dark, and world renewal. The fact that he is on the very first degree of the zodiac, the Aries Point, is incredibly powerful for its symbolism, and very optimistic for where we are going. I would again like to credit the work of US astrologer Kelley Hunter here at www.heliastar.com.

We then have a New Moon at 2°48’ Libra on September 25th at 2.54pm PST and 10.54pm UK time. Don’t forget to set a new intention for whatever you want to manifest at this time, conditioned by the house where this falls for you. This is exactly by degree on the Super Galactic Centre, emphasising the importance of these times even more. All the same major aspects apply here as at the Libra Equinox above as this only two days after the Equinox, the only additional points of note being that Mercury and Venus at 27° and 25° Virgo are now opposing Neptune at 23° Pisces. This suggests a great deal of creativity and that our imaginations are likely to be very active – tune into your dreams – but that the amount of information coming in at us (Mars at 18° Gemini forming a wide T-square to the Neptune-Mercury-Venus opposition) may feel overwhelming or confusing (Neptune). Virgo helps us a lot here, as it is the sign of discrimination and analysis.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury so is using mental processes for this sorting of the information, but remember it is our hearts that gives the true answer for us, not our heads.

Jupiter here at 3°48’ Aries is not only opposing the Sun but also the Moon, suggesting that whatever is unfolding at this time has the potential to bring us wisdom and stimulate our future growth and understanding. It can bring us a sense of expansion and hope for our future, very much fuelled by Jupiter being in even tighter conjunction to Manwe than two days earlier.

By the 27th we may want to dig deeper into the facts with a trine between Mercury and Pluto, wanting to uncover secrets where they appear. Then on the 28th we have a semi-square between Jupiter and Uranus that can be sparky, rebellious, demanding the truth, and could even bring in more unexpected seismic activity.

Now we are entering the most intense and transformational two months of the year in October and November. This is likely to be white-water rafting at its wildest. The 3D level will be dramatic, fast-moving, contradictory, so I suggest that you find peace, calm and bliss in your life by being in nature, meditating, doing breathwork practice, listening to sacred music, reading poetry, anything that soothes your soul and pulls you back from the hubbub and noise. My desire to do this is growing by the day, with such a strong knowing that once we clearly set our frequency to bliss and love, everything in our reality cascades from that. That’s all we really need to know.

Many blessings to you all, hold on tight and I believe we will find ourselves in a very different place even by next spring.

Out of clutter find simplicity; from discord find harmony; in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity”.

TEACHING VIDEOS

Recently I filmed an Advanced Nodes Webinar with Bracha Goldsmith, covering the Transiting Nodes through the Houses, Nodal Returns, Squares and Inverse Nodal Returns, and the Nodes in Relationships. It offers over 2 hours of concentrated teaching: pamgregory.gumroad.com/l/ljgsf

Separately, I have filmed around two and a quarter hours of concentrated teaching called Astrological Synthesis. This is the video explaining these: https://youtu.be/EwDyUCdC3r4. These videos are not for absolute beginners, you should at a minimum understand the meaning of the signs, and the house rulerships. If you want to understand these further, I have an Astrological Signs video and my two part Tutorial Video Series, both available via the Products page on my website. The contents covered in Astrological Synthesis are 1) Planetary Symbolism 2) Where Planets Become Stronger 3) Aspects 4) Blending Archetypes 5) Life Theme/Story in the birthchart. These videos do not pretend to offer exhaustive natal chart analysis, but will help to give you some powerful insights that you may not find elsewhere.

The video called The Alchemy of Relationships is all about the astrology of relationships, and is 90 minutes of concentrated teaching. Relationship astrology can be very complex as you are comparing two birthcharts, so I have shared some big principles that help to cut through the complexity so you can more clearly see the energetics between the two people. I’ll be covering a very important ‘relationship point’ that many of you may be unaware of. These are NOT for beginners, you will have to have a good basic understanding of the symbolism of the planets, the aspects, the meanings of the signs, and the sign and house rulerships to follow these videos. If you do, and are interested, here is the link: https:// gumroad.com/products/NlLC.

My two books ‘You Don’t Really Believe in Astrology, Do You?’ and ‘How to Co-Create using the Secret Language of the Universe are both available from my website www.thenextstep.uk.com/books, and Amazon.

How to Co-Create using the Secret Language of the Universe is a workbook focusing on the most mysterious and profound part of your birthchart, that is also considered the most important in Indian astrology. This is your Nodal Axis. It represents your soul’s path in this life, your path of destiny. More than any other part of your birthchart, it answers the question, ‘why are you here, what is your purpose in this lifetime?’ You’ll be working with your own birthchart, downloaded free from my website www.pamgregory.com. The writing of this book took me on a profound journey, and I hope and believe that will throw your life and your purpose into high relief.

I have also produced a companion set of videos to go alongside this book to answer other questions you may have on your Nodal Axis.

Here is the video explaining these and giving the purchase link: https://youtu.be/ 3MxYVU8Xxik. Essentially the three videos cover natal conjunctions to your Nodal Axis, the transiting Nodes, and the transiting planetary conjunctions to your Nodal Axis. These videos comprise 75 minutes of teaching, packed with information about the Nodal Axis. I will also now regularly post the transiting North Node position with the other planetary transits in this newsletter, so you can track it yourself. This transiting North Node only moves around 2° each month, always retrograde.

Videos on Jupiter and Saturn transits through your birthchart: these are such important cycles in everyone’s life at any time. You will need to have a copy of your birthchart, which you can now download from for free (www.thenextstep.uk.com), then the tutorial should give you some very rich information at any time in your life about where you are expanding, and can

expect success, recognition and opportunities, and where you need to apply focus, work and discipline. These cycles are one of the first things I look for in preparing a chart. You will know from my updates where the positions of Jupiter and Saturn are in the heavens, and then can work out what that means for you in your life, and you can constantly refer back to them over the years. Here is the link to my store: https://gumroad.com/products/ VsrvP. Enjoy!

My audiobook: https://gumroad.com/l/QNjf

The two part video tutorials on how you find aspects in your chart, and meanings of the houses in your birthchart: https://youtu.be/ 6D2mBJ78dV4. This will help you understand where all the New and Full Moons and aspects I mention in my updates fall in your own birthchart, and what that means for you in your life. The tutorials will last you a lifetime, as you can always refer to them.

Once you download a free birthchart from my website, you can start to use the tutorial videos straight away. There is a description that comes with the chart on the website (which I did not write), and people have said this is very accurate. However, please remember that a computer- generated description with a list of characteristics is a very different experience to having a full consultation with a professional astrologer,

who through synthesising this matrix of meaning, can give you profound insights into who you truly are.

You can find my recent video on the elements, modalities, rulerships and astrological signs at this link: https://youtu.be/QbQfkg1_PKQ.

I am going to post the planetary positions each month. I will not include the Sun and Moon, as they move too quickly, but will post the others so you can work out the transits to your natal chart:

Mercury, retrograde on the 10th – 5° Libra – 24° Virgo
Venus – 25° Leo – 2°Libra
