Big Reactive Energy
The astrological energies (along with the solar activity) are very strong right now. Today we have Mercury conjunct Pluto, tomorrow the Sun conjunct Pluto, and on the 27th Mars conjunct Pluto, all of these conjunctions at 3° Aquarius.
You may be particularly feeling this if you have any planets or angles between 2-4° of the Fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. On the one hand this can help to give us more visions of our future individually that we would like to pursue, but on the other hand we can feel very agitated energy which is easily triggered. There is mental and energetic overload here, so consider taking some time away from screens in the coming days and dropping into stillness, more than usual.
Mercury conjunct Pluto may bring some long hidden secrets to light, criminal activities which are sexual or to do with big money, and there could be big moves on the stock markets too. Uranus currently is conjunct the Sun and Midheaven of the New York stock market chart at 27° and 28° Taurus respectively (set for May 17th 1792 12.00 New York) that can bring extra volatility to the US markets, and this continues until mid-March.
Both the Sun and Mars in the next few days coming to conjunct Pluto bring big power plays in the world. These can be in your own personal life, someone trying to control or manipulate you, or this can be clearly seen on the world stage. Mars conjunct Pluto can be particularly brutal, forceful and aggressive. Any hard aspect between Mars and Pluto can manifest as primal anger, even attack. For instance the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th 2023 was under a hard Mars-Pluto aspect.
If you are feeling any aggression coming from others in your personal life, please take a breath and step back before responding as this is highly reactive energy. We have a lot of hair-trigger energy in the collective, so deliberately taking time to feel calm, peace, joy and compassion can be antidotes to this and help calm the collective energy.
Looking at the chart for NATO set for August 24th 1949 at 11.42 Washington DC, the upcoming Full Moon on February 1st at 13° Leo is conjunct the chart ruler, Pluto, so shining a bright light on the current role and identity of that organisation. In addition, the transiting South Node currently at 9° Virgo will be conjunct the ‘natal’ Saturn and Moon in the 10th house of the NATO chart. Saturn represents its traditional structure and the Moon rules its 9th house of foreign relations. These conjunctions will be exact in February and March, with the South Node coming to the NATO Sun at 1° Virgo in June. The Sun rules the status and reputation of NATO, and Saturn, the Moon and Sun are all in the 10th house also representing its authority, power and moral compass (Saturn) in the world. The transiting South Node typically suggests what we have outgrown and are moving away from.
In addition, the Lunar Eclipse on March 3rd is conjunct NATO’s Saturn, and this represents in some way an ending, or certainly a turning point.
On a personal note, Neptune enters Aries fully on January 26th, next Monday. We had a taste of this last April-October last year. What was being birthed for you then as a new creative or spiritual identity? Was it some new passion or project, or just a sense of greater conviction around your spiritual gifts being awakened? As Neptune enters Aries fully on Monday (and stays there until 2039!) you may want to start to really take action on whatever that is, to move more quickly and initiate something new. Follow your intuition on this. We are moving from a time of thinking our way through life to feeling through the heart.
